Not long ago, RBS had a bit of a reputation for being a great place for project managers and change specialists working on lucrative short term contracts. As of today, that gravy train is coming to a halt. See the chart below, from Ross McEwan’s strategy presentation, due later this afternoon. Henceforth, McEwan has ruled that there will only be 150 projects going on at RBS at any one time. Many of the 550 that were happening last year were duplicates, it seems.
So that’s bad news for RBS’s army of projects contractors.
